KILL J GRAVITY

Announcing her first full album, Julie Aagaard reveals her softer side with pop-leaning single ‘Gravity’. In line with the conceptual particle physics theme of her album, the song deals with that feeling of giving in to gravity, whether that be emotional weight or letting go on a belief system. The artist known as Kill J explains that “The song is about finding comfort in the laws of nature - realizing one simple thing, that you can hold on to - one thing, that you know for sure is true: When I let go, I fall down. It's about surrendering to what we know. Surrendering to the pull of gravity with all the connotations of religious surrender." With that uncontested pop vocal, the Danish musician continues to subvert expectations with this typically-arranged song, dipped in lacquers of pop and electronica. ‘Gravity’ is something we could file very nicely alongside the likes of Skott, Empress Of, Sigrid and Sia, a line-up of listening perfection. - HT
